week in italy pt.1

I had the chance to spend this past week in Italy and let me tell you it nothing short of amazing. The reason for this particular trip was to see my cousin get married in Tuscany but we of course had to stay a little longer!

We flew into Venice and took a 2 hour train to Florence (my favorite city) for the first night. We squeezed in a tour of Palazzo Vecchio as soon as we got there but honestly I was too exhausted to remember any of the information our guide told us. The picture at the top of this post is the view from the top of the Palazzo!

The next morning we hopped in a cab and drove to Castello del Trebbio which is the villa that my cousin booked for us to stay and where her and her fiancĂ© were going to get married.

We had to cram 9 people in a 7 person car when we drove into town for some lunch, but then found out all the stores close early on Sundays. We found one local restaurant where they spoke no english and I had some sort of "french fry sandwhich" which to this day I'm still not exactly sure what I ate. After lunch we came back to the villa and walked around the property to take pictures and hang out. Later this night we had the rehearsal dinner!!

The villa also had a pool with an amazing view that we spent alot of time at! We spent pretty much the whole day at the pool the next day (wedding day)!! For lunch we walked to over to one of the villas and had some food with all the friends and family there.

This day was July 2nd, which means it was wedding day! After that big lunch with family I had to head back to our villa and start to get ready! The ceremony was so beautiful and we're so excited that Cole is officially in our family now!!
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Foster !!

Let me just say that dinner was AMAZING and we of course had some country music playing :) When you have a family from Alabama we have to bring our country music with us everywhere! There was also a dance floor to hang out in after dinner (personally my favorite time!)

After an exhausting day we went to sleep and got up the next day to go into Florence with our friends and family. We ate at the BEST pizza place and if you're ever in Florence you need to go to Pizza Napoli!

Oh and my favorite gelato shop ever is Vivoli in Florence!! I had to go back there of course.

That's it for the first part of my week in Italy! I hope y'all enjoyed seeing the little highlights!

With Love,
